Mount and Blade: City of Douran
Game Summary
City of Douran is a standalone mod for Mount and Blade: Bannerlord that effectively showcases how to have an aesthetic city that also is conducive to large scale combat.
While taking place within the city of Douran, this mod was designed for combat for up to 200 soldiers on each side. Though mounted combat is available, the elevation of the city works better for ground units.

Design Goals
Functional, Aesthetic City
City of Douran
Wanting to keep the same aesthetic as the Aserai Kingdom, I created the area to feel as much like a city within the Kingdom as possible. However, I still wanted it to be conducive and functional for combat.
Helping with the combat in the city:
I made sure to have wider gaps between buildings so a large scale army could maneuver through.
Not only is this space built for combat, it was made to withstand a 200 vs 200 army. Including mounted combat.
Added different choke points to add strategic points for players to use to their advantage.
Included multiple strategic routes.
With wings on different parts of the city, players can choose which route to take their army through.
Elevation
Elevation in the city
Largely using the city wall catwalks as the primary source of elevation, players can strategically position archers at various points. There are also multiple buildings in which players can use to their advantage.
Typically, Mount and Blade: Bannerlord does not have a lot of combat within their combat. So I wanted to see how I could incorporate elevation to make archers more viable.
Flanking Routes
Interconnection
All of the red connection lines are ways that each individual area connects with one another. With each of the sections having at least 3 primary routes that flow into that section.
The defending army starts in the top portion of the city, right by castle keep. While the attacking army starts on the bottom portion of the city. Both armies are immediately presented with 3 different routes to take their army forward.
